Harvesting Fruits

Alejandro young adult of La Casa de mi Padre

I am about to begin a new stage in my life as I graduate from high school. I want to take the time to thank God for all the blessings that He has given to me and to all of those people that God has used to support me along the way.

My dream is to one day become a chef and have my own restaurant. Next year, this dream will begin to become a reality as I study culinary arts. I have been praying for the Lord to open doors for me to later continue my studies in another country. This desire to travel and learn about other cultures is so that I can share with others what I have experienced.  I have learned that God blesses people so that they can then bless others. When I have my own restaurant, I would like to come to La Casa at least once a month to cook for the children and prepare a special dinner for them.

I have been thinking about the farmer that prepares the ground to plant, then waters and fertilizes the seed until the plant matures and produces fruit. You’ve been like that farmer in my life.  Ever since I was a little child, you have been my support in EVERYTHING. Now that I have finished this chapter of my life and graduated from high school, I hope you can see the fruits of your labor.  This is why I want to thank all of you who have supported me through my schooling. I am praying every day that God blesses you and your family in all that you do.

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.” Galatians 6:9-10 (NIV)

Cosechando Frutos

  2. Alejandro you have grown up to be such a fine young man and Bob and I consider it a privilege to know you. I came across your picture at home this past week and was amazed at how much you have changed and that that “kid” was the young man I know today. So proud of you and looking forward to watching you continue to grow in your walk with the Father and see what He has in store for you! Cook on brother!! 🙂 Merry Christmas to you and all of our other friends at La Casa!!
