Home, sweet home…

The Pintos have a great time when they visit their family / Los Pintos la pasan muy bien cuando visitan a su familia

Our 34 children come from 19 different families, whom we also faithfully serve in our Family Program.  Some of the  family members are not able to travel to La Casa due to economic difficulties, geographic distance, or health.  Because of this, we take advantage of the vacation period and bring the children to their family members.  Our kids are able to reconnect, not only with their families, but also with their communities.
This past week we were able to bring two of our boys, Pinto and Jose Luis, to visit their extended family in a distant, rural community.  Apart from spending time with their family members, one of their favorite things to do is pick fruit from the variety of trees found near their home.  They make sure to return to La Casa with bags filled with fruit to be able to share with the kids and staff.  It is their way of creating a connection between La Casa and their family.  We are committed to making sure our children always have a link to home.

Hogar, dulce hogar…
